Cookie Dough Brownies

Its been a busy week here at Crafty Towers ... Between the organising of the house, Keeping Agent M entertained and getting some of my 'stuff' done. Its been hectic.

So it was nice to just get a chance to get in the kitchen and bake with my little man. When i asked him what he wanted to make, he got very excited about the "slimy cookie brownies" aka Cookie Dough Brownies.

The "slimy" part i should say is that i make my brownies gooey ... not that i add slugs or anything lol.

You'll Need

For Brownies
225g margarine
140g milk chocolate
450g caster sugar
110g plain flour
55g cocoa powder
5 eggs

For the Cookies

112g Unsalted butter
55g Golden caster sugar
112g Plain flour
100g white chocolate chips

To Make

Pre-Heat the oven to 180C

You'll want to start with the brownie ingredients first as this will be the base of the dish.

Melt the margarine and milk chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water.

Remove from the heat and mix in the sugar, flour, cocoa powder and eggs.

Pour this mix into a greased dish and set to the side.

Next you want to mix up the the cookie dough.

Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl.

Sift in the flour and add the chocolate chips.

Take 'Chunks' of the cookie mix and drop them on top of the brownie mix. It doesn't matter if it looks pretty, It's not entering any pageants lol.

Pop in the oven for 10-12 minutes for gooey and 15 or so minutes for a more cake like brownie.

Allow to cool before cutting up into slices or else it breaks apart  (See original pic) :)
